Tara and Badger are brought to Heartland for a weekend by Clint in a hope to help them mellow out by being around the horses.
History[]
When Tara and Badger are left unsupervised at the Dude Ranch they set a chair on fire out in the yard. Amy and Ty arrive to pick them up for breakfast and find the fire with no sign of Tara or Badger until they steal Ty's Truck. Clint and Lou tell them off for the theft and fire, Tara tells Lou that they couldn't stay in the cabin due to the “vermin". She produces a snake in the hope of it scaring Lou and Clint. Lou picks it up and reminds her that she grew up there, but Clint's scared. When they leave she puts peanut butter into Clint's food thus giving him an allergic reaction. When Badger is having his riding lesson with Mallory, Tara talks to Ty and Amy and refuses to join in with the riding. Amy finds Tara watching TV and tries to goad her into admitting she's scared of horses but to no avail. She goes to meet Mallory in the barn and they start talking about boys, she tries to scare Mallory by telling her that she zapped her last boyfriend with a stun gun. She starts to goad Mallory and tell her that she bets she has a happy life with perfect parents, Mallory gets upset and leaves. Mallory finds Tara watching TV and puts her straight about her life, she tells her that her parents aren't there and everyone ignores her so Copper is the only one who's happy to see her. Tara is unimpressed and Mallory tells her that she's not he only one with problems. Tara finds Ty working on his truck and tries to start a conversation with him, she tries to find out why he got on probation but Ty remains tight lipped. When they hear commotion with the horses they go out to see that Badger has released them all. Amy goes off to round them up and Ty tries to talk to Badger who wields a hook and starts swinging at him. Tara is able to calm him down just before Jack arrives. Amy brings the horses back and they ask Tara about Badger, she tells them that his stepdad messed him up so he sometimes freaks out over things. Tara apologises to Mallory and tells her that she seems perfect and then bond over their mutual weirdness. She asks Mallory if she can try again with Copper, she gets scared but Badger helps her feed him, getting over her fear. Amy and Tara spend the night in the cabin for the night, when Mallory joins them for a sleep over. Once Amy's asleep they sneak out and sit down by the dock. Tara tells Mallory that she likes Ty and Mallory tells her about the time she kissed him. Mallory asks about Badger but Tara admits he scares her sometimes and because he doesn't talk he's hard to read. Tara and Mallory reach an agreement, Tara gives Mallory a goth makeover and she finally rides Copper. (Do or Die)
