Marion Fleming yerger is a horse whisperer and mother to Amy and Lou. She's Jack's daughter and Tim's ex-wife. She taught Amy everything she knew about horses. She died during the first episode in a car crash while saving a horse named Spartan.

Season 1[]

We first see Marion helping Amy rescue an abused horse (Spartan) from Mr. Mallen in the middle of a storm. In the car on the way home they drive off the road and crash, the cause of Marion's death.(Coming Home)

Jack Bartlett father is the head of the Bartlett - Fleming - Morris clan he has lived at Heartland for his whole life . Although he took a break when he was a legend in the rodeo .

Lou Fleming daughter

It has been noted that Lou and Marion were very different, however still had a strong relationship although Marion did not want her to leave for school in New York. Despite this she was still proud of her daughter.

Amy Fleming daughter

Amy and Marion were close, and they were able to share their passion for helping horses. Amy often uses her mother's journals as a way to feel close to Marion while also helping her further her own knowledge and skills. Amy that working with the horses after Marion's death helps her feel close to her.

Tim Fleming ex husband

Tim and Marion were married, they met on the circuit. When Lou and Amy were 15 and 5 respectively, Tim got into an accident when bulldogging and starting taking pills to help him through. After a while Jack threw him out of the house in the hope that it would give him a wake up call, he would get clean and come back to his family. However, this isn't what happened and he stayed away for ten years. In that time Marion leaned on Victor to get her through and help her with Pegasus, but she told him that her heart belonged to Tim and it always would.

Victor Whitetail family friend

Victor and Marion were good friends, he helped her with Pegasus after Tim left and they become close. Victor always hoped it would become more but she told him that her heart belonged to Tim and it always would.

Career[]

After Tim left, she started a horse rescue at Heartland. She wrote many journals around her work with horses and wrote down all the things she learned

Trivia[]

Her cake icing is loved by all, her secret recipe is canned icing.
Two of Marion's/s Granddaughters; Katie and Lyndy, both have Marion as their middle names.
Her favorite flowers were wild flowers, Marigolds, Asters.
She appeared as a child in Amy's dream when Amy fell unconscious.
