Catherine "Katie" Marion Minnie Fleming-Morris is the daughter of Peter Morris and Lou Fleming.

She was born at Heartland Ranch and delivered by Ty Borden, her uncle, and her aunt Amy Fleming, and Mallory Wells, who fainted during the process. She is the god-daughter of Jack Bartlett's wife Lisa Stillman.

While she was with Lou in New York, she enjoyed sushi. Upon her return to Heartland, she is introduced to Brick right before Caleb's mini bronc class. While her father visits, she misses her mom and gets lost on a trail ride with Brick.

Katie and Peter are suppose to go on a annual camping trip. When peter can't make it Lou takes it upon herself to take Katie camping. lou thinks its a good way to find out how Katie will react to her and peter getting back together, but when Lou tries to talk about it she freezes up and continues to put it off unit Katie says she is fine with the way things are Lou decides that she wasn't going to tell her. Later in the episodes Katie tells lou she really does want her and Peter back together she was just trying not to get her hopes up

Katie begins to feel alone when her Parker ditches her to spend time with other friends and her new boyfriend, as most of her time is spent working at Maggie's Diner. She comes across Brandon and Ellie as they dirt bike through the trails. This inspires her to try new things, like selling off a birthday gift to afford a bike. However she later sells the bike to get the necklace back. Her mom ends up buying her a different bike.

- Besides season 4 when she wasn't born until the season finale, she was absent in 12 episodes from season 11.
- The only time Katie goes a full season are in the eighth and ninth ones.
- The actress that plays Katie from the 12th-14th seasons almost resembles a younger Olivia Wheaten.
- She is the only character in the series to have had her actor been replaced the most, at least in regards to aging.
