Jasper is a rescue dog at the Vet Clinic that Caleb and Cassandra adopt. Amy and Ty were considering Caleb and Cassandra but Ty talked with Cass, who was barely ready to adopt a dog, much less a child. But when Cass and Caleb decide to adopt the little pup Ty and Amy decide to take them on as guardians, and Caleb and Cass accept.
When Ty and Amy dog-sit they learn that he is not very well behaved and chews up most of their cushions. Jasper is a cute little spunky guy who is a blue ticked Australian Cattle dog, which is also known as a Blue heeler. Jasper doesn't come back until Ty and Amy are dog sitting, and when the authority of Jasper is shifted to Tim, the dog eats a box of chocolates. Jasper is fine though, and Ty washes out his stomach.
