Ian Parsons is the husband of Mackenzie Hutton, after they have their wedding at the Heartland Dude Ranch they become friends with Jack, Lou and Amy.
Season 2[]
Ian arrives at Heartland late after an accident on his way. Him and Mackenzie are both excited to see each other, knocking him into the door of the taxi, he gets his belt caught and has to run after the car for him to stop. At dinner, he tells everyone how happy he is to be having the wedding there as it's beautiful. As they talk about the wedding plans he learns that Mackenzie has started to make it bigger than they originally planned. Ian, Mackenzie and Lou talk about the wedding at the Dude Ranch and they start arguing when he learns that it's now much bigger than he wanted. After Mackenzie calls off the wedding, Lou goes to the Dude Ranch to apologise to Ian. He tells her how he and Mackenzie met, he went to Gramercy Park, where he never goes, and saw Mackenzie with her dog and the dog ran off so he went to help get it back. Mackenzie called him her knight in shining armour and he believed it was fate they met. He arrives back at Heartland on horseback dressed as a knight in shining armour telling Mackenzie that he doesn't care how or where they get married. The wedding is back on at the Dude Ranch with Lou as maid of honour and Jack giving her away. (Divorce Horse)
