Synopsis[]
Amy and Ty get some unexpected news about Luke just as Amy has to face an upsetting truth about Spartan. Andrea is back to get Luke.
Plot[]
After getting out of the mental hospital and getting medicine for bipolar Andrea shows up to legally take Luke back. Spartan is diagnosed with arthritis. Amy realizes that one day she’ll have to put Spartan down. Georgie tries to help Amy find a new horse.

- Aside from the recap, Andrea and Jade do not appear in this episode.
- This is the first time it has happened to the both of them, though Andrea's scene in the recap was longer while Jade's was only for a millisecond.
- The words in the title of this episode are actions that are part of the automatic sympathetic nervous system of the human body.
- Peter's divorce from Lou is brought up in this episode as J.D. rubs that in her face.
- Apparently, J.D. has also threatened other people like Lisa and Fairfield, as well as Mitch and Garland steaks.
- Bob is mentioned, but does not appear in this episode.
- But according to him, the reason for the wildlife and prey running away from their homes is due to J.D. needing a building constructed for that area, which is what the beginning scene in this episode foreshadows.
- Ways J.D. tried to threaten the Fleming: secretly calling a complaint about the Maggie's diner kitchen and saying how Tim can't live in an RV over half a year.
- It is until the construction of endangering wildlife that J.D.'s true colors are revealed, which is what results in Lou getting more volunteers to potentially win the mayor election.
- Georgie trying to get Amy to ride an all new horse is a callback to Back in the Saddle where she tried to do the same to Jack after Paint's passing.
- Luke is given his own chess set as a going away gift, where everybody puts down pawns after saying nice things about him.
- Tim tells Luke to let Jack win to keep the latter's winning legacy going, even though Jack jokingly tells Luke to not do that.
- Katie admits she will miss Luke, despite her animosity towards him when they first met.
- Georgie says that Quinn is in another province doing a horse show. Province is actually what states are called in Canada.
- She decides to use this opportunity to go over to Kelowna in Lou's car, but under the condition that she will call her every hour she is over there.
- Rachel, a girl Georgie met at camp, will allow her to stay with her while over there.
- A scene towards the end of the episode is the exact picture that's shown on Netflix when selecting Heartland to watch.
